The Chequers is a 15th Century Inn of traditional style, situated in the heart of the English hopping countryside. Heavily beamed with a collection of artefacts throughout, the Chequers offers a relaxed atmosphere in a centuries old environment, representing a true family village pub.
The award winning Chequers is listed in the CAMRA Good Pub Guide 2010 and was one of the first pubs in the South to be awarded the Cask Marque Award for serving quality real ale.
Good quality, value for money food, including daily specials, Sunday Roast and a children's menu. Speciality house dishes such as authentic Spanish paella and tapas or seafood Fruits de Mer are available for special occasions if pre-booked.
REAL ALE FESTIVAL 2010
This year's Real Ale Festival is being held on 24th & 25th April. There will be a selection of over 25 real ales available and a BBQ and refreshments both days. There will be live music on both days and a TRACTOR DISPLAY on Sunday lunchtime from 12:30-2:30pm.
