The Chequers has a full calendar of events ranging from monthly regulars to seasonal one offs, music events, and our annual Beer Festival.

Every Thursday is Sausage Thursday where there are a selection of six different sausages, including a vegetarian option, available lunchtime and evening. The menu offers you a variety of ways to enjoy your chosen sausages such as a delicious sausage sandwich or with onions, mash & gravy.

So remember every Thursday is Sausage Thursday at The Chequers.

Pie Days are on the the first Tuesday and Wednesday of each month where you can enjoy a selection of homemade pies both lunchtime and evening.

Saturday 4th & Saturday 11th February - CHEEKY CHINESE EVENINGS

A delicious feast of dishes prepared by Matt and Charles to celebrate the Chinese New Year - the year of the dragon.  Bookings only.  £20 per person for three courses.

11-19 February - WINTER WARMERS WEEK

A selection of varied winter warming real ales will be offered over the week as well as a special menu of warming homemade pies, suet puddings and traditional stews.  Enjoy our warming open fire with some lovely ales and comfort food.  Cheer yourself up and book your table now.  Our usual menu is also available during the week.

Sunday 12th February - OPEN MUSIC SESSION

An open music session of folk and traditional music with the "Spinger Sisters".  An informal jam and sing.  Everyone welcome to just listen or participate.  From 4pm onwards.

Tuesday 21st February - PANCAKE DAY

Today we will be offering a variety of delicious homemade pancakes both lunchtime and evening ranging from traditional with lemon and sugar to maincourse savoury and tempting sweet pancakes.  Our usual menu will also be available.

9-18th March - KENT ALE AND KENT CHEESE WEEK

A varied selection of real ales from local Kent breweries will be offered this week together with the opportunity to try various cheeses made in Kent.  A perfect combination - delicious real ale and mouthwatering cheese.  Available lunchtime and evenings and all day weekends.

Friday 16th March - ST PATRICKS CELEBRATION WITH LIVE MUSIC AND IRISH MENU

Come along on Friday evening and join in some St Patrick's day celebrations with live music from "A BAND OF TWO" - sing along and folk tunes with some exceptional fiddle playing.  We will be offering some homemade traditional Irish dishes both lunchtime and evening in addition to our usual menu.

28th & 29th April - ANNUAL REAL ALE FESTIVAL

Saturday 4th August - TRAIN & TRANSPORT DAY
