The Chequers has a full calendar of events ranging from monthly regulars to seasonal one offs, music events, and our annual Beer Festival.
Every Thursday is Sausage Thursday where there are a selection of six different sausages, including a vegetarian option, available lunchtime and evening. The menu offers you a variety of ways to enjoy your chosen sausages such as a delicious sausage sandwich or with onions, mash & gravy.
So remember every Thursday is Sausage Thursday at The Chequers.
Pie Days are on the the first Tuesday and Wednesday of each month where you can enjoy a selection of homemade pies both lunchtime and evening.

PRESENTATION of funds raised for Macmillan Cancer Support - 4:30pm. Followed by sausage sampling ! Homemade sausages made by Charles, the first stages of chosing a special recipe that will become "The Macmillan Sausage"!

LADDINGFORD ONE MILE WALK/RUN - in support of Sports Relief
Starting opposite The Chequers, participants may run or walk the route which will be in Laddingford and may take part individually or as a family. There is no entry fee however as the aim is to support Sport Relief, participants are encouraged to either obtain their own sponsorship or make a donation on the day to Sport Relief - suggested amount of £5 per adult / £2 per child. Participants undertake the one mile walk/run purely at their own risk.
Starting times will be supervised from 11:30am-12:30pm

CHEQUERS CHASERS' SOCIAL DRINKS - social drinks for members of the Chequers Chasers running club - from 8pm

NATIONAL CASK ALE WEEK - as a warm-up for our forthcoming real ale festival The Chequers will be supporting Cask Ale Week by running a number of offers and competitions during the week. There is a special offer available to CAMRA members of a free half pint of real ale when ordering a main course meal. Their current membership card must be presented when ordering a main course meal. Offer is available every day except Sundays and Bank Holidays and only one half pint per person per visit.

SPECIAL FISH MENU - in addition to our normal menu as a Good Friday Special, Charles will be offering a selection of fish dishes using sustainable fish supplies. The special dishes will be available lunchtime and evening. Reservations recommended on 01622 871266

CHILDRENS EASTER PARTY - in the Chequers' Marquee 4:30-5:30pm. Childrens party with games and magic show with Dizzy Lolly with special appearance of Lolipop the cuddly rabbit. No entry fee but all CHILDREN MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.

LADDINGFORD WATER STATION FOR PADDOCK WOOD HALF MARATHON - come along and help out at the Laddingford water station for the Paddock Wood Half Marathon - over the years the station has become a firm favourite with the runners with the music and cheering encouraging them along the 13.5 miles. This year there will be a large number of runners from The Chequers own running club The Chequers Chasers taking part so do come along and cheer on. The station is by the primary school and helpers need to be there for 9.45am.

13th REAL ALE FESTIVAL - a selection of over 25 real ales will be available over the weekend. BBQ and refreshments available both days. Large garden and outside seating for all the family to enjoy. No entry fee.
Live music both days - Saturday, skiffle band -The Rejeuveniles, Folk/General music by A Band of Two and popular local band Sound Cheque. Sunday sees music at 2:30pm from a Crew of Two and a TRACTOR DISPLAY from 12:30-2:30pm.

SECONDHAND BOOK SALE - 10am-2pm - all proceeds to the Kent Air Ambulance. Donations of books can be brought to The Chequers up until 30 April. Entrance a donation. Tea/coffee will be available.

MUSIC WITH CHAN - 5pm, the ever popular performer Chan returns to The Chequers. Food served 12-8pm.
