COVID-19 Statement (September 2020)

In line with Government  restrictions on the hospitality industry you will be required to wear a face mask on entering your local village Pub.

This can be removed when seated but you will also have to put on a face covering when going to the toilet and moving around.

We have already been mainly doing table service but from tomorrow there will be NO service at the bar and only table service both inside and outside.

You will have to remain seated at your choice of table, maximum of 6 to a table. The only reason to get up is to visit the toilets or going outside to smoke, sorry no meandering around the Pub.

All staff will be also wearing face coverings.

The Chequers along with all other Pubs and Restaurants will have to close at 10pm and customers will be required to vacate the premises by 10pm No Later.

These are rules not guidelines so we all have to work with them. We know it’s hard for you but it’s also hard for us, we don’t like the new normal any more than you do, but we must do everything we can to keep us all safe.

So please work with us to keep all customers and staff safe while you visit us.  Even if you can’t see us properly because of masks please be rest assured we are smiling and very happy to see you.  Please do continue to come and visit us so we can all get through this.

Stay Alert, Keep Safe, Keep well.  Charles & Tracey
