The Chequers Inn, Laddingford

The Chequers, Laddingford

The Chequers is a traditional style 15th Century Inn situated in the heart of the English hopping countryside.

Heavily beamed with a collection of artifacts throughout, the Chequers offers a relaxed atmosphere in a centuries old environment, representing a true family village pub.

The award winning Chequers is consistently listed in the CAMRA Good Pub Guide 2016 and was one of the first pubs in the South to be awarded the Cask Marquee Award for serving quality real ale.  Adnams Southwold Bitter is always available with three further pumps where ales are regularly changed.

Good quality, value for money food, including daily specials, pies, Sunday roast and a children's menu. Specialty house dishes such as authentic Spanish paella and tapas are available for special occasions if pre-booked.
The Chequers is a traditional village country pub with no gimmicks, there's plenty of others that can do that well - just real ale, real food and real people.

A very big garden at the back of the pub has play equipment for the children and many tables to sit and enjoy a drink or a meal.  There is additional seating at the front amongst the lovely summer floral display and hanging baskets.

We have a great selection of home cooked food available at The Chequers. On Sundays we always offer a selection of delicious roast dinners, including the Chequers Roast Trio, which is three Yorkshire puddings filled with each different meat served with roast potatoes and vegetables.

In the winter there is a lovely cosy atmosphere created by the double hearth open fire, where there is the gentle murmur of conversation complimented by the clink of glasses.
