Our Regular Traditional Menu

We offer lunchtime snacks as well as traditional main meals, as well as sharing boards which are great to nibble with friends over a sociable drink and our Specials Board offers a variety of other dishes. 

 

Our usual menu is also available on Sunday as well as a selection of different roasts including the Chequers Trio – 3 Yorkshire puddings filled with 3 different meats, roast potatoes and fresh vegetables. 

 

We have a children's menu which includes roast dinners on Sundays.

SAUSAGE THURSDAY

​

Thursday is Sausage Day at The Chequers every week. Available both lunch time and evening there is a selection of six different types of sausage, which are changed every week to be chosen, such as Pork & Hop, Spicy Thai or Pork & Leek. 

​

Have sausages, onions, mash and gravy or classic sausage sandwich with fried onions or warm baguette. Or there's the Naughty Sausage - 3 sausages, 2 eggs, chips & mushrooms or the Chequers Yorkshire pudding with your choice of special sausages, mash, onions & gravy.

There’s always a vegetarian sausage and usually several of our sausages are gluten free. Please ask a member of staff during your visit or call us beforehand.
